ZIP SIM supports phone number porting out so customers can transfer their ZIP phone numbers to another carrier. At this time, porting a phone number in from another carrier is not supported.
Important note: ZIP SIM is shutting down operations on June 30, 2020. If you want to port your ZIP phone number to another carrier, you must do so before your SIM card expires or before June 30, 2020 if your plan expires at a later date. Otherwise, your number will be permanently lost.
HOW DO I PORT MY PHONE NUMBER TO A DIFFERENT U.S. CARRIER?
To port your ZIP SIM phone number to another US Carrier, you’ll need the following:
- An active account with a compatible U.S. Carrier
If you do not have an account, please visit the website of your carrier of choice to set one up.
- Your account number
Please use your 10-digit ZIP SIM phone number without dashes as your account number.
Important: Do not include the number '1' at the beginning of your 10-digit phone number as this may cause your port request to fail.
- Your PIN number
This should be the last 4 digits of your 19-digit SIM number. You can find this information on the SIM Card itself, or on its original packaging.
