As of November 8, 2016, ZIP SIM will be implementing the following changes:
Text ZIP to Activate
Customers will no longer need to text their ZIP code to activate - all SIM cards will self-activate automatically when they are inserted.
Data Usage & Plan Expiry Notifications
Customers will receive data usage text notifications when they have reached 80% and 100% of their allocated 4G LTE data. Customers will also receive text notifications that their plan is about to expire.
If you run out of data before your plan ends, or you want to extend your plan, you will need to top up with another plan. Make sure that you top up within 72 hours of your current plan expiring to ensure that your SIM and phone number stay active.
To top up, go to www.zipsim.us/topup and follow the prompts. Please have your 19 digit SIM card number (located on the back of your SIM card) or your 10 digit ZIP SIM phone number.
Note: When you purchase a top up, you will overwrite any existing plan that has not expired, so make sure you do so after your data or plan expires.
Checking Data Usage & International Long Distance (ILD) Balance
Customers will be able to check their 4G LTE data usage and ILD balance (if purchased) by texting the word "balance" to 7850.
Voicemail Prompt Changes
As of November 7, each customer's voicemail will be reset and any stored messages will be lost. There will also be a new voicemail menu:
1 - Skip/Next message
2 - Replay message
3 - Delete message
4 - Sender's details
5 - Forward message
